Clara Osowski, mezzo claraosowski.com
MVO launches its 2026-2027 season with fiery, festive, dance-filled music that will get your toes tapping! Up first, Arturo Márquez’ Danzon No.2, written in 1994, which quickly blasted into the music world’s consciousness after Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra performed it on a North American tour. Then, some lively and elegant Afro-Caribbean-influenced dances by this season’s Foreground Composer Florence Price will release endorphins! And then, after intermission, we are absolutely thrilled to be joined by superstar multi-international-award-winning mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski for selections from Bizet’s unforgettable Carmen. You’ll go home light on your feet, with a song in your heart!
