Fall 2020 SEASON
With safety as the top priority, MVO will continued to serve the community through the pandemic by offering small rehearsals, arranging chamber music groups, and planning virtual and social distanced social events. All of these activities are optional based on musicians' comfort level and will be in accordance to information and guidelines from the CDC and the State of Minnesota:
Concerts
There will be no concerts through the end of 2020. Three concerts are currently scheduled for 2021 — on February 14, April 11, and May 23. We will follow the pandemic situation closely and make adjustments around mid-November 2020.
Rehearsals
Due to the current pandemic situation, MVO rehearsals will be temporarily relocated to:
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church
3920 Victoria St N
Shoreview, MN 55126

Phase 1: Strings only, no more than 10 musicians in the same room at a time, 1 hour rehearsal with no break
Phase 2: Strings only, no more than 25 musicians in the same room at a time, 1 hour rehearsal with no break
Phase 3: Strings with limited winds, no more than 32 musicians in the same room at a time, 1 hour rehearsal with no break
Phase 4: Strings with winds, no more than 45 musicians in the same room at a time, 1.5 hour rehearsal with no break
Phase 5: Full orchestra, 2.5 hour rehearsal
Chamber Music Groups
MVO will facilitate the forming of chamber music groups and performance opportunities, details of which will be announced soon. The Artistic Director will offer artistic advice to groups in person or online if requested. Musicians can sign up using the Chamber Music Group Sign Up Form.
Socializing Events
These social events include internal music presentations for chamber music groups and the orchestra, outdoor performances, and virtual or outdoor social distanced gatherings with limited capacity.
